Within the first few weeks of a weight loss journey, some diets may make you feel ill or fatigued. Within a couple of days or weeks you may find yourself giving up on the diet, just so that you have energy once again!
So why do we often become ill and feel fatigued when losing weight and how can we overcome it?
1. You need to find the correct balance between fats, carbohydrates and proteins. By getting this balance right you will find that you do not experience nearly as much fatigue and your body will begin to heal itself from the damage done by years of imbalance. If you are on a well balanced diet and still finding that you are fatigue try some supplements. Supplements are designed to provide optimal health during the weight loss process.
2. When you begin to lose weight, your body is also under increased stress. You have changed your usual diet and you are also burning fat for the first time in a long time. Burning off this extra fat means your body is using more nutrients and energy than usual. You do not want to deplete your nutrient levels and should gain these extra nutrients through supplements and vitamins.
3. As our body stores toxins in fatty tissue, when we are on a weight loss program we begin to burn that excess fat off and guess what is released back into your system? Toxins. These toxins are the reason why we often get sick or fatigue when we start a weight loss program. It is therefore paramount that we provide our bodies with good antioxidants through two ways: fresh fruit and vegetables and through supplementation.
